The sport of Horse Archery and the art of Handcraft run deep in the Hungarian
culture. These traditions have been passed down for thousands of years and stem
from all over the globe. These bows are directly from overseas, handcrafted by
a Hungarian Bow Maker. These bows have the speed of a compound bow, and no
stack! I dont know why people even bother with longbows and compounds, these
bows are sweet. Please allow 2-3 weeks delivery.
Both bows come in 3 classifications; Beginners class, Target Class, or Hunting
Class. Specify in message box during checkout which you prefer.
Beginner's class used for women,
teens, or beggining archer. 25-35# @ 28"
Target class used for mainly target practice, sca, or small game hunting.
35-45# @ 28"
Hunters class can be used for Hunting, competition, sca, and much more. 45-60#
@ 28"
Mongolian Bow specs-
The ancient Mongols developed this style with its distinctive bridge on which
the string rests. The purpose of this design is to give the string a little
extra “pop” when the string snaps against it. This gives this bow the advantage
of higher arrow velocity.
 The
Mongolian measures 54 ¼“ unstrung and 53 ½“ strung with a nylon string. This
his bow has ash or cherry syhas with fine horn lamination and an arrow guard
carved from fine wood. The entire bow is wrapped in high quality leather to
protect it from the elements. Max draw length is 31" Plenty of power and speed
to take down a deer. The heavy model shoots around 200fps.
The good thing about this bow is it is so short, yet it can be pulled all the
way to 30-31 inches!
Hungarian Bow specs-
This style used by the Hun and Magyar tribes has the power of a long bow with an
incredibly smooth release. Measuring 56” unstrung and 51 ½” strung with a 49“
nylon string this bow is preferred for hunting because it is so quite. The syhas
are made of either ash or cherry laminated with fine woods or horn for increased
strength, while the handle is decorated with an arrow guard carved from fine
wood or bone. Weights vary from 25# to 60# at a 28” draw.
